Samsung S7

These kinds of reports are difficult to take seriously. There were a lot of recent articles talking about S7 having a holographic display though, and there was even some attention for a do it yourself holographic display. (video below)

So, some of the language in here was worthy of mention -- take it with some salt.

Samsung has currently been in the spotlight with the launch of its Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. And now comes the news of the Korean tech-company working on the Samsung Galaxy S7.

It is speculated that the new offering would be a foldable phone, however, there is no confirmations on the design yet.

Codenamed ‘Jungfrau,’ the S7 may come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. Samsung may also be leaning towards using its own Exynos chipsets to power the device, according to Master Herald.

The tech giant’s flagship smartphone may boast of the world’s first holographic display, Christian Post noted. The site points towards a published Samsung patent application which depicts a mobile phone projecting images over its screen.

The projected images look much like the icons on the phone that could be activated with a touch. This indicates that the phone’s projector will be employing the camera to detect interaction with the holographs.

As per Master Herald, the company may not launch its flagship even though it may be ready by the year-end, since the Note 5 and the S6 Edge Plus are now making an appearance in the markets.
